A Restaurant Built by Five Women
Tamarindo Latin Cuisine opened in September 2022, and it was built entirely on family. The restaurant is the vision of five women, sisters Cinthia De Leon and Perla De Leon, along with their matriarchs Nancy Abad, Pricilla Brito, and Marisol Perez. That family connection shows up in every part of the restaurant, from the food to the decor, which includes hand painted murals throughout the dining room and outdoor patio.

The menu leans heavily into Dominican classics alongside broader Latin American dishes. Guests can order mofongo, beef and other empanadas, churrasco, and paella, along with heartier plates like grouper filet in coconut sauce and roasted half chicken in citrus sauce. The Medianoche, or midnight sandwich, is another standout, built with roasted pork, smoked ham, swiss cheese, garlic, mustard, and pickles. Classic sides round out the plates, including yucca fries, sweet plantains, and coconut rice and peas.
