If you are craving handmade pasta and a wine list worth lingering over, Tavola Italian is worth the trip. This restaurant opened in the fall of 2024 inside BridgeWay Station, Mauldin's new town center, and it has quickly become a go to spot for date nights and family dinners alike.
A Table 301 Concept
Tavola comes from the Table 301 Restaurant Group, the same team behind Greenville favorites like Soby's and The Lazy Goat. Executive Chef Beau Owens leads the kitchen after spending several years at the helm of The Lazy Goat, and he brings training from Johnson and Wales University along with hands on experience at resorts like Montage Palmetto Bluff. General Manager Ken Preston oversees the front of house and previously helped run Soby's and The Lazy Goat as well.

What to Order
Handmade pasta is the heart of the menu here, with dishes made fresh daily. Standouts include the Spaghetti Carbonara with guanciale and cracked peppercorn, the Pappardelle with gorgonzola and Calabrian chili cream, and the Potato Gnocchi with spicy sausage and vodka cream sauce. The Chicken Parmesan comes topped with hand-pulled mozzarella and Parmigiano Reggiano, and larger appetites can go for a steak off the Bistecca menu, including a Prime Filet Mignon or Prime Ribeye.
Starters are worth saving room for too, especially the House Confit Garlic Focaccia and the Meatballs in salsa di pomodoro. For dessert, the Tiramisu and Lemon Ricotta Cheesecake are popular choices.
Two weekly features stand out for regulars. Tuesday nights bring half price wine by the bottle, and Wednesday is Lasagna Night, with a three course meal of seasonal salad, house lasagna, and a chef's choice dessert for thirty dollars.
What People Are Saying
Diner feedback has been strong, with an average rating of 4.7 stars across more than 600 reviews on OpenTable, one of the largest review samples available for this restaurant. Guests consistently point to the attentive service, the wine selection with guidance from an on staff sommelier, and the quality of the scratch made pasta. A few reviews mention smaller portion sizes for the price point and a lively noise level during busy nights, so it may not be the spot for a quiet, low key dinner.
Hours and Location
Tavola is located at 620 Bridgeway Blvd, inside BridgeWay Station. The address falls under Simpsonville, SC 29681, though the restaurant sits within Mauldin's town center, so you may see it listed under either city depending on the source. Dinner runs Monday through Thursday and Sunday from 5:00 pm, with the last reservation at 9:00 pm, and Friday and Saturday dinner runs until a 10:00 pm last reservation. Weekend lunch is served Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm.
Why It Is Worth a Visit
Between the open kitchen, the chef's bar, and the outdoor terrace, Tavola offers a few different ways to enjoy a meal depending on the occasion. Whether you are celebrating something special or just want a solid plate of pasta, this BridgeWay Station spot has earned its place as a Greenville area favorite in a short amount of time.
